| This Santa Maria BBQ Salt contains less than 50% table salt. The other ingredients are animal extracts, vegetable extracts, spices, enzymes & taste enhancers. Accordingly, it should be used more liberally than ordinary table salt. A barbecue salt similar to Santa Maria BBQ Salt was used over half a century ago in Santa Maria, California - "The Home of Barbecue" - at the Santa Maria Club. Thus the name.
